You may remember the story that we brought to you last week about two straight Dublin men getting married in order to avoid having to pay inheritance tax.
As you can expect, the story went worldwide within a couple of days and even travelled across the water and hit the States.
Late Night with Seth Meyers is an American late-night talk show hosted on NBC.
The show gets around 1.5m viewers each night and in ‘The Brown-Nosed Reindeer, Goodbye 2017 – Monologue’, Meyers described the marriage to the audience and viewers at home.
However, in the background, to accompany the piece, was a picture of the whole island of Ireland in green, white and gold colours with two wedding rings on top of it.

The map didn’t go unnoticed as many comments were posted under the video about the flag.
