Is there anything she can’t do?

Roz Purcell has sent nature enthusiasts wild as she has announced she is branching out into the book world.

The Tipperary native, who presents a radio show with Emma Power on RTE 2FM, has revealed that she has been working on a little side project.

The 32-year-old spearheads The Hike Life, a community aimed at promoting the value of getting outdoors and the mental health benefits it can give.

It has created a space for young people to explore nature together, meet like-minded people, and promotes Ireland’s incredible hiking trails.

Roz has consistently shared her favourite hikes in detail over the years and now has decided to store 50 of her top hiking picks on paper in her new book, also entitled The Hike Life.

Taking to the hiking community’s Instagram, she announced the news about her book.

“Think coffee table book showcasing the stunning Irish outdoors combined with useful information, a book you can go back to every weekend to plan an adventure!,” she wrote.

She added that it not only includes beautiful shots of the scenic hikes, but everything needed know before embarking on them.

The hikes will have fun facts and myths about them, food recommendations for after, nearby swims, and  any other places of interest that she believes will complete day trip.

Roz is an expert when it comes to anything to do with the outdoors, so who better to drop a book about how to get the best of out of your hiking experience or to motivate you to begin yours.

“Intro chapters are full of how to prepare for a hike, great hiking apps & websites, as well as a resource list of mountain leaders to book,” she shared.

The Hike Life book is set to shelves on October 12th, so we don’t have long to wait.

However, for Roz, it’s been a long time in the works.

She revealed that it’s taken two years to get to this point.

“This book has taking me so long. I’ve never been prouder of anything I’ve created ever before,” the Tipp native beamed.
