Ryan Tubridy has confirmed that Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald will form part of a “great” Late Late Show line-up this coming Friday.

The host of the long-running chat show confirmed that Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald will be joining him on Friday’s show. Speaking on his RTE Radio One show on Friday morning, Tubridy said that he will be talking to her about her experience of testing positive for Covid-19 as well as February’s General Election. Feels like way longer that two months ago, doesn’t it?

Tubridy said: “Given that she tested positive, she’ll have an insight into the virus, that the others haven’t, and with that in mind I look forward to hearing what she has to say about it. I’ll tell you who else is on the show in the next day or two.”

He told listeners that “we hope to keep you entertained right up until the end of May, at which point we will be going on our TV summer holidays. But our radio show continues apace – we won’t be going anywhere.”

This will be the seventh successive week that The Late Late Show takes place without a studio audience and you’ll be able to watch it all unfold on Friday from 9.35pm on RTE One.
