Justice for Saoirse Ronan.
One of the biggest awards ceremonies of the season, the Oscars were held in Los Angeles last night. Honouring the best of the best in the film industry, Ireland's own Saoirse Ronan was up for best actress.
Her fourth time being nominated (she was previously nominated for Atonement, Brooklyn and Lady Bird), Saoirse was in the running for her portrayal of Jo March in Greta Gerwig's Little Women.
I want Saoirse Ronan to win an Oscar so bad 😭 #oscars

Fans the world over were hopeful for an Irish win but it wasn't to be as Saoirse narrowly missed out to Renee Zellweger who took home the gold for her role in the movie Judy.
A disappointing result but at least Saoirse can rest easy in the knowledge that Twitter is on her side - demanding 'Justice for Saoirse Ronan'.

Saoirse Ronan truely is the female version of Leonardo DiCaprio when it comes to winning an Oscar

People were also less than impressed with the pronunciation of her name, but that's nothing new.

the year is 4032, Saoirse Ronan is still being asked how her name is pronounced.

Louisa May Alcott was a master and Greta Gerwig, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen, Florence Pugh and Laura Dern did her such a beautiful Justice. Thank you, I can’t stop crying.

Aren't we all? She'll always be our winner - whether she has an Oscar or not.
