Applications are currently open for the next series of First Dates Ireland.

With Valentine’s Day now over, RTE has put the call out for hopeful singletons of all ages to take part in the next series of the hit dating show.

First Dates Ireland has proved incredibly popular ever since RTE began producing their version of the show, which was originally created for Channel 4 in the United Kingdom.

Single people who want to join maître D’ Mateo Saina, barman Ethan Miles and waiters Alice, Pete and Libby can apply for a date on the show by clicking here.

For the shy singletons out there, there is also the opportunity to appear on the show as a ‘background dater’, which means that the cameras will not focus on your date. To apply to be a background dater in the restaurant, click here.

First Dates Ireland is filmed in Coda Eatery at The Gibson Hotel in The Point Square.

Dates are captured by over 20 cameras in what is believed to be the first fixed-rig show of its kind to be made in this country.
