Mid-week is here, so while we look at the stretch towards the weekend, why not also look at some of these movies while we’re at it…

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country – FilmFour – 6.50pm

On the eve of retirement, Kirk (William Shatner) and McCoy (DeForest Kelley) are charged with assassinating the Klingon High Chancellor and imprisoned. The Enterprise crew must help them escape to thwart a conspiracy aimed at sabotaging the last best hope for peace.

Two decades after the first Independence Day invasion, Earth is faced with a new extra-Solar threat. But will mankind’s new space defences be enough?

A Cure For Wellness – FilmFour – 11.20pm

An ambitious young executive (Dane DeHaan) is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps, but soon suspects that the spa’s treatments are not what they seem.

True Grit – ITV4 – 11.25pm

A stubborn teenager (Hailee Steinfeld) enlists the help of a tough U.S. Marshal (Jeff Bridges) to track down her father’s murderer.

The Gift – Channel 4 – 2am

A married couple, Simon (Jason Bateman) and Robyn (Rebecca Hall), run into Gordo (Joel Edgerton), an old acquaintance. Things take a turn when Gordo begins to drop in unannounced at their house and inundates them with mysterious gifts.
