Snapchat has added a brand-spankin’ new group chat feature, that lets up to 16 friends chat to each other at the same time.
The new addition to the app comes as popular chat apps Whatsapp and Facebook continue to upgrade their features in a bid to be the best.
Just like other messages within Snapchat, group snaps will only last 24 hours and can be replayed just once (so enjoy the hilarious pics that your mates send you while they last).
“Groups can be created while sending a Snap, or when you’re making a new Chat”, the company has told Silicon Republic.
“When your friends are present in a Group Chat, we show their name at the bottom of the Chat. Simply tap their name to start a 1:1 Chat, and then easily return to the Group in one swipe! We call this Quick Chat, and it’s the fastest way to keep the conversation going with one friend without spamming the entire Group”.
Start choosing those 16 BFF’s wisely.
