The humble GAA raffle has long been a hallmark of Irish local pub life. On a weekly basis, you can guarantee that someone will be shaking a bucket in order to raise money for the local club, while at the same time one of the regulars will get a chance to win some cold hard cash.
It's not always local folks who get involved though as blow-ins are also expected to dip their hands into their pockets to help out. That's what happened in Limerick over Christmas as Glin GAA added a very famous name to their list of raffle participants.
U.S. pop megastar Taylor Swift was in the area along with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn and it seems she was only too happy to help out. The club shared a pic of one of their tickets with Swift's signature on it alongside the numbers 10, 18, 20 and 25.
Great to see @taylorswift13 support our GAA club on her recent holiday in Glin, Ireland. Thank you Taylor! You can too at https://t.co/Rxdz6hiW0q@Woolberto @hoganstandgaa @offtheball @The42GAA @SportsJOEdotie @SkySportsGAAhttps://t.co/N36dOM898z pic.twitter.com/iDejic54Ua

According to the Irish Sun the pair rocked up to the local pub on St. Stephen's Day and got into the spirit of things by entering the raffle.
It remains unclear as to whether they took home the prize but we're sure they would have spent the winnings on a round for everyone in the pub, as most of us would do in that situation. Honest.
