The 2017 IFTA Nominations Have Been Revealed

The Irish Film and Television Academy have announced their nominations for this year’s award ceremony which will take place on April 8 in the Mansion House in Dublin. 

Fresh for her Oscar nod over in the States, Ruth Negga has been recognised with a nomination for best actress for her critically-acclaimed role in Loving. She faces competition from Caoilfhionn Dunne, (In View) Seana Kerslake, (A Date For Mad Mary) and Aisling Loftus (Property of the State). 

Speaking at the announcement, Academy CEO, Aine Moriarty said:

“These great Irish Nominees are a testament to the hard work and achievements by Irish creative talent within the film and television industry, delivering world-class standards of work and we look forward to showcasing and celebrating their achievements at the Awards Ceremony”.
