The Basic B’s guide to Love Island episode 2

She was a bit of a stinker of an episode.

Bombshell Chloe wasn’t bombshelling enough for our liking and it was generally very tame.

This is possibly because not one of the girls is into their guy enough to be worried about Chloe taking them away. Season ride Shannon in fact seems to be only dying for Aaron to recouple with Chloe so she can put the whole situation behind her.

The morning started with the girls in the gym looking like absolute babes, and Chloe taking the opportunity to get to know the boys more vis a vis individual chats. The only gal really worried seemed to be Liberty – she’s mentioned a lot how gorgeous Chloe is and how Jake might go for her instead. We hate to see it because Liberty’s one of our faves at this early stage.

Chloe’s most obvious ~connection~ was probably with model and club promoter Aaron who’s currently coupled up with Shannon. Shannon has made it fairly clear she wants out of the couple and has no interest whatsoever, so really Chloe would be doing her a favour.

Her next chat was with Brad who showed little to know interest in the baby voice and incessant hair flicking, but Chloe gave it a good go all the same.

Then it was time for the first group challenge of the season, where the islanders had to reveal their sexiest secrets and then make like half our insta feeds over this past year and jump into a pool of ice cold water.

Each of the islanders would read out a sexy secret, and then kiss whoever they thought the secret belonged to. One of the highlights of this was definitely Shannon avoiding any shifting or physical contact whatsoever. Her disgust towards every boy in the villa is a constant source of entertainment. Oh, and also PE teacher Hugo revealing he’s had sex in the middle of a road before, opening himself up to a world of stick from his students when he heads back to class in September god bless him.

The entire episode was leading up to the recoupling, where Chloe would have to choose which boy she wanted to be with. The stakes, to be honest, were fairly low. Then, after all that, ITV had the nerve to leave us on a cliffhanger! Not deserved.

Speaking of ambiguous cliffhangers, they also posted this pic of our beloved Kaz and Brad chatting on the balcony (Kaz is currently coupled up with Toby, and Brad with Faye but no one is serious yet), but with no context whatsoever and following Kaz getting little to no airtime during the episode. These lil hints better lead somewhere! Needless to say, no matter how shite an episode it was, we’ll be glued to it again tonight.
