The Critically Acclaimed Katie Taylor Documentary Is Coming To Netflix

Kiara Keane

The award-winning Katie Taylor film is about to land on Netflix.

It aired on RTÉ One in January after being released in cinemas back in October and has been massively praised by critics – The Independent called it ‘beautiful’ and both they and The Irish Times gave it four stars.

If you didn’t manage to catch it before (and we definitely recommend that you do) you can watch it on Netflix starting from Monday.

The documentary, simply titled Katie, tells the story of the Olympic gold medal-winning boxer’s attempts at breaking into the world of professional boxing as well as her fractured relationship with her father.

The film by Ross Whitaker shows Katie’s father and coach, Peter, by her side as her career blossoms and she even refers to him as her “best friend” in the footage, before telling the story of how they sadly parted ways.
