With the Apple watch fast approaching next month we are starting to see the more traditional watch brands respond. You wouldn’t expect the Swiss, who dominate the industry, to ignore the move to wearable tech and indeed Mondaine are the first Swiss company to reveal their smart watch today. Although they won’t be showing it off publicly until the 19th they have released all the specs for it today and told us how it will work. It will include sleep and activity trackers as well as an absolutely stunning minimalist design in their traditional Helvetica No.1 range. We’ll have to wait and see how well it works but we’d certainly prefer to wear this than the chunky Apple watch but we are guessing they’ll not even be close to Apple’s software. Exciting times.
