The new trailer for Graham Norton’s Holding is here

For a tale about murder, it looks fairly gas.

Graham Norton made his fiction debut in 2016 with Holding, a murder mystery set in Duneen, County Cork. It was met with good reviews (I myself was personally a fan) and novel writing became another of Norton’s many skills. He’s written three novels in total, and has a fourth coming at the end of 2022. But in the meantime, Holding has been made into a television series, and we have the trailer right here.

Sergeant P.J. Collins is on the case as local man Tommy Burke turns up dead. The only problem is that P.J. isn’t used to investigations of this nature, or doing any serious police work. The trailer gives little away, but for a murder mystery, there appears to be a lot of humour in the series. The scene where P.J. shoves a slice of cheese into his mouth sent me in particular.

The cast is full of familiar faces, including Conleth Hill (Game Of Thrones), Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls), Charlene McKenna (Bloodlands), and Pauline McLynn (Father Ted).

The series will air in four parts on ITV, launching in March.
