The Script have announced plans for a huge stadium concert next year as a thank you gesture to the country’s healthcare staff.

Wanting to show their appreciation to frontline staff across the country, The Script will put on a free concert at the 3Arena next year – open to all HSE and NHS workers.

The band made the announcement on social media. Posting a video to their Instagram account, frontman Danny O’Donoghue can be heard saying:

“Hey this message is going to all nurses and doctors, anybody working for the HSE and the NHS up and down the length and breadth of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

To show our appreciation at how hard you guys have been working over these past few weeks and will continue over the next few months, all we can do to say thank you is to put on a free concert and we’re going to do this in the 3Arena next year.”
