45% of people who took part in the survey think that the controversial US President will be the most popular Halloween costume choice this year, just pipping IT's Pennywise who came in second place at 39%.

On a global scale Pinterest compiled a list of the most popular cossies for 2017, with movies and TV a strong running theme. 

Game of Thrones, La La Land and Wonder Woman were among the most common sources of inspiration, while unicorn makeup is the trend that's dominating the beauty sphere this year.
