These are the five best movies on TV tonight

Rory Cashin

This is perfect couch weather, and these are the best movies to watch tonight while couch-bound.

This rainy Monday is upon us, and it doesn’t look like the weather is going to be getting much better any time soon.

Thankfully your pals at Lovin will be here to recommend the best movies for you to watch each and every night, starting with…

The Dukes Of Hazzard – Comedy Central – 7pm

Seann William Scott (Stifler from American Pie), Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson star in the big screen remake of the 70s TV show. Is it good? Not really, no. Will it help to pass the time? Kind of, yes. That is about the nicest thing we can say about it.

The Festival – FilmFour – 9pm

Simon from The Inbetweeners (not actually him, the actor who plays him) has been dumped and his best friend decides to help him get over it by going on a three-day music festival. Things do not go according to plan.

Milk – TG4 – 9.30pm

Sean Penn won the Oscar for this powerful true-life drama about Harvey Milk and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California’s first openly gay elected official.

Man On Fire – Sky One – 10pm

Maybe one of Denzel Washington’s most famous movies, in which he is assigned as a personal security agent for a rich family in Mexico, and goes on a mission of revenge when the young daughter (Dakota Fanning) is kidnapped.

Dracula Untold – FilmFour – 12.55am

This was supposed to restart the Monster Movie Universe, with Luke Evans becoming a powerful vampire warrior and heading into war. This is Dracula through the lens of Game Of Thrones, and is actually a good bit of fun.
