Eddie The Eagle – E4 – 6.55pm

Taron Egerton stars as the real-life wannabe skier who isn’t going to let a little thing like not being able to ski stop him from becoming an Olympic skier, and only washed-up instructor Hugh Jackman can help him achieve that dream.

Behind Enemy Lines – FilmFour – 6.55pm

Owen Wilson is an American fighter pilot who has his plane shot down… you’ll never guess… behind enemy lines. With an entire battalion of soldiers hot on his trail, he only has a US commander in his ear (Gene Hackman) to help direct him safely back across the border.

The Other Guys – Comedy Central – 9pm

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are two officers who try to crack open a huge case, but soon find themselves completely over their heads. A very good action-comedy.

Passengers – RTE One – 9pm

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence are accidentally woken up several decades early on a long space journey to a distant planet, with nothing but each other for company, and no way to get back into hyper-sleep.

Ransom – ITV4 – 10.30pm

Mel Gibson’s son is kidnapped, but instead of paying the ransom to get him back, he offers the money to any members of the public who might have information to help find him.

Bad Neighbours 2 – FilmFour – 11.05pm

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne team up with the nightmare neighbour from the first movie (Zac Efron) when a sorority house moves in next door, proving to be even more problematic.

The Way Way Back – Channel 4 – 12.10am

Sam Rockwell, Alison Janney, and Steve Carrell star in this comedy-of-age dramedy about a teenager who takes up a job at a local amusement park over the summer.
