This Hollywood Star Called Ireland ‘The Most Beautiful Place On Earth’

While we all know in our hearts that Ireland is the most beautiful place on earth (yes, even when it’s lashing out in July), it’s always nice when someone else compliments it.

Even nicer when that someone else is an extremely famous American actor who’s starred in TV series The Walking Dead and has had film roles in The Wolf of Wall Street, Fury, Sicario, The Accountant, and Baby Driver.

Yep, Jon Bernthal is the one who thinks that “this is the most beautiful place in Earth.”

In an interview with The Irish Times about upcoming movie release  Avengers. Pilgrimage, which sees two Marvel heroes star in a movie about 13th century, Irish monks embarking on a reluctant pilgrimage to escort their monastery’s holiest relic to Rome, Jon spoke of his love for Eire.

“We weren’t in a studio trying to create magical worlds. We were trekking into them. Where we were shooting was so beautiful, you’d think: this is the most beautiful place on Earth. Until the next location: nope, this is the most beautiful place in Earth. 

“I’ve had the privilege to shoot in a lot of countries but no place and no people had an effect on me like . Everyone was kind. I’ve never met an Irishman I didn’t like.”

The film was shot in Galway and Mayo, so we can see how the celeb fell so in love with our pretty Irish scenery.
