When it comes to planning a wedding, there’s a lot of decisions to be made.
From choosing a venue to picking the right band, it’s all about making the big day as special and personal as possible.
And for one Irish bride, that meant inviting an unusual guest to be part of proceedings.
Maegan Wallace is a long-time supporter of Donegal Donkey Sanctuary and decided that her wedding to Brian Connolly wouldn’t be complete without having Quiney the donkey in attendance.
So, the beautiful animal took pride of place on her big day at Finnstown Castle in Lucan recently.

“I was too excited about the donkey to be thinking about what anyone else thought of it! The flower girls were over rubbing the donkey, the children, myself and Brian and my Nana all got a chance to pet him,” she told Donegal Woman.
“It was a good icebreaker for everyone who didn’t know each other.”
