The general rule of thumb when it comes to sex is nobody feels like they’re getting enough of it.
Well, now you can know for sure – thanks to a new survey.
According to the Kinsey Institute of Sex, Reproduction and Gender, most of us are having the most frequent sex when aged in our late teens and 20s, with those between 18 and 29 getting down and dirty 112 times a year.
This averages out to approximately twice a week but once you hit the big 3-0, things start to slow down.
The research suggests that those aged between 30 and 39 have sex 89 times per year, or 1.6 times per week.
The trend continues in that direction, with men and women aged between 40 and 49 having sex around 69 times per year.
Your marital status is also said to have an impact on your sex life – with 45 per cent of married couples having sex several times a month, 34 per cent having it two to three times a week and 13 per cent having just a few times per year.
