Seven Brilliant Netflix Offerings To Snuggle Up With This Sunday Night

Alana Laverty

If your weekend has been anything like ours then you’re probably in some sort of semi-conscious chocolate/hangover coma right now.

And that’s fine.

But what’s not fine is having to go through the agony of choosing what to watch on Netflix.

Seriously, is there anything more difficult? It’s torn families apart quicker than a game of Monopoly, and to anyone in a new relationship who has had to bear the burden of being in charge of the remote – we feel your pain.

So to take to stress out of your evening and reduce your back-to-work fear, we’ve rounded up a list of what you should be watching tonight.

You won’t go wrong with any of these:

1. Marvel Defenders

If you haven’t watched this yet then there’s clearly something wrong with you.

Blind ninja. Smart-ass detective. Bulletproof ex-con. Kung Fu billionaire.

Marvel’s The Defenders centers on four outsider heroes that have to put aside their personal issues and come together when a villainous sect threatens to destroy New York City as we know it.

2. Exit Through The Gift Shop

When renowned graffiti artist Banksy took the camera away from Thierry Guetta, the man shooting his biopic, and decided that the subject would become the documentarian, an incomparably zany (and very, very funny) documentary was born.

3. Before I Wake

This freaky flick will appeal to fans of creepy kids in horror movies. A couple who are devastated at the death of their son foster 8-year-old Cody who it soon turns out has nightmares which manifest themselves into reality.

Spooky or what?

4. Narcos: Season 3

It’s back, baby.

Eliminating one notorious drug kingpin – Pablo Escobar – only makes room for four more to take his place.

With the Cali Cartel, all rules have changed, and the DEA must prepare for the ultimate takedown.

5. The Discovery

The sci-fi romance stars Rooney Mara, Jason Segel and Robert Redford, and is set in a world where the existence of the afterlife has been discovered by scientist Dr Harbor.

This revelation immediately sets off mass suicide by people anxious to get to the other side in the hopes of being happy there. Others continue on, trying to decide what it all means.

6. The Mist

Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime.

As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

7. The Ascent Of Woman

A groundbreaking four-part BBC documentary series that follows the fascinating role of women in society over the course of 10,000 years.

Who invented the veil? When did patriarchy come into being? All these answered and more.
