Bored Already? Here’s Our Top Picks Of What To Watch On The Telly Today

Yeah yeah yeah, we’ve had our fun in the snow and we’re kinda done with it at this stage. Snowball fights are grand on the first day but have you ever been hit with a frozen snowball? It’s not pretty. 

So to save our red raw hands from any further pain we’ve decided to treat today like an ultimate PJ party and snuggle in front of the telly for the entire day. 

Don’t waste precious time searching for what to watch either. We’ve done the hard work for you. 

We know, not all heroes wear capes etc, etc. 

Lunchtime:

Atonement (Sky Cinema Drama: 11.50am)

Keira Knightley and James McAvoy are the lovers whose brief encounter is destroyed by a child’s lie.

Say Yes To The Dress (1pm: TLC) 

A double bill of our favourite wedding binge watch show. Bonus? It’s not the bridesmaids version. 

Afternoon:

Shallow Hal (Sky Cinema Comedy: 2pm)

When shallow Jack Black starts seeing inner beauty, he falls for seemingly svelte Gwyneth Paltrow, unaware she weighs 300lbs

Cast Away (Sky Cinema Action: 3pm)

Tom Hanks carries this compelling Robinson Crusoe tale as the FedEx troubleshooter struggling to survive after he’s marooned on a desert island.

Evening & Night:

No Country For Old Men (Sky Cinema Oscars: 8pm)

After stealing $2million in drug money, Josh Brolin is hunted by ruthless psychotic Javier Bardem. Oscar-winning crime thriller.

Weinstein: The Inside Story (BBC One: 9pm)

As final preparations are made for this weekend’s 90th Academy Awards, this one-hour Panorama special investigates Weinstein’s spectacular fall from grace.

Serial Killer with Piers Morgan (TV3: 9pm)

Piers does an interview with Lorenzo Gilyard, who was convicted of killing six people in and around Missouri between 1977 and 1993.

The Young Offenders  RTE 2: 9.30pm

The follow on tv series from the hit Irish movie picks up where the film left off, with laughs and lots of tears.

The Addams Family (Sky Cinema Family: 10pm)

When a stranger claims to be their long lost uncle, the Addams Family attempt to uncover the truth.

Too Old for the Road? (RTE One: 10:15pm)

Documentary following the lives of older Irish motorists as they face concerns including failing eyesight, licence renewal and the possibility they might no longer be fit to drive.

Demolition (Sky Cinema Hits: 11pm)

The loss of his wife and a defective vending machine lead grieving Jake Gyllenhaal on an off-kilter journey of discovery.
