WATCH: This Irish Singer Completely Nailed His American TV Debut Last Night

If you're a regular radio listener (or reader of our site) you will no doubt have stumbled upon the name Dermot Kennedy at some point in the recent past.

The Dubliner's star continues to rise and those in the music world are certainly sitting up and taking notice. Last night though, the singer reached a milestone that has often been used as a springboard to greater success by making his debut appearance on American TV.

Kennedy rocked up on the The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, a show which averages three million nightly viewers, and seemed to give a great account of himself. Performing his hit track Power Over Me, Dermot drew loud cheers from the studio audience and no doubt impressed a few more watching at home.

If the 26-year-old has any major plans to crack American market then he certainly did his chances no harm at all last night. Check out the brilliant performance in full below.
