HBO has revealed that a documentary about the final Game of Thrones season will air after the finale comes out.
Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will be shown on Sunday, May 26 – a week after the last episode airs, HBO has confirmed.
They said it will “take fans behind the scenes like never before” and follows “the crew and the cast as they contend with extreme weather, punishing deadlines and an ever-excited fandom hungry for spoilers”.

The documentary is directed by filmmaker Jeanie Finlay who was tasked with “chronicling the creation of the show’s most ambitious and complicated season”.
A statement from HBO said, ‘Game of Thrones: The Last Watch delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland.’
The final Game of Thrones season is made up of six feature-length episodes (between 54 and 80 minutes each) and begins airing on April 15.
