Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

What did we actually do with our lives before Netflix? It’s hard to remember.

Ah yes 2018 is nigh and with it comes some unreal Netflix series and movies to binge on and beat the January blues. We are pretty sure you’re all going to be finishing up Black Mirror in the next few days (or maybe you’ve already finished it) and you’ll be hunting for something new.

Here are our top picks for January 2018:

Series:

Lovesick: Season 3 – January 1st

If you haven’t watched season 1 and 2 you deffo should. This is one of our absolute favourites and we cannot wait to see what season 3 has in store for Dylan, Evie and Luke.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Collections – January 5th

This is carpool karaoke minus the karaoke…

Jerry Seinfeld will be travelling around and picking up a different guest comedian in each episode. The journeys are sure to be filled with banter, caffeine and hilarious conversations.

Riverdale: Season 2 – January 18th

Are you hooked? It seems most people are. Season 2 will follow up on the tense mid-season finale in which Black Hood was unmasked. So much drams we can’t cope

Grace and Frankie: Season 4 – January 19th

This hilarious modern comedy tells the story of two old women who find themselves stuck together after their husbands fall in love together. It’s class seeing Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin back together and it’s a really easy watch.

Drug Lords: Season 1 – January 19th

A collection of witness stories focusing on history’s notorious kingpins, their enforcers and those who swore to bring them down.

This one will have you at the edge of your seat.

Films:

The BFG (2016) – January 8th

The big friendly giant, a Roald Dahl classic. This one is sure to bring back memories of your childhood. Nostalgia’s the best.

The Jane Austen Book Club (2007) – January 12th

A chick flick that relates to the works of Jane Austen. Ah sure look you couldn’t have it any better.

Madeline (1998) – January 19th

The girl who ran away to the circus, and had the BEST uniform in the history of the world and found the cutest dog ever. This film has it all.

Despicable Me 2 (2013) – January 25th

Minions, minions and even more minions… need we say more?

Joy (2015) – January 25th

Jenifer Lawerence at her absolute best. A girl boss who made history. Class.
