It will be the first new entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Spider-Man: Far From Home.
2020 will be the first year since 2009 that there will be no new entries in the MCU!
Admittedly, the MCU only really began in 2008, then took a year off, but has had at least new movie or show kicking off every year since then.
Obviously, with the pandemic, this year’s plans have been pushed back, but it looks like they’ll be making it up for next year.
2021 movies are set to include Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Eternals, and the currently untitled Spider-Man threequel.
On top of that, there is a lot of new MCU content set to arrive on Disney+, the first of which will be WandaVision, which Disney and Marvel have confirmed will arrive on Friday, January 15, with the assistance of this creepy new teaser…

So what is WandaVision all about? Good question. Disney and Marvel have been mostly top secret about the plot details, but we do know that the show “is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealised suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.”
On top of that, MCU head honcho Kevin Feige has stated that WandaVision will lead directly into the events of Doctor Strange 2, which is currently due for release in March 2022.
