Netflix’s latest documentary announcement might just be their best yet.

The streaming giant has revealed that a new series about dogs will be landing on November 16.

The 6-part series simply titled Dogs will take a look into the lives of the animals and their owners around the world.

Each episode tells the story of a different pup and the “deep emotional bonds between people and their beloved four-legged friends”.

The first one is about an 11-year-old girl who suffers from traumatic seizures and her therapy dog, Rory.

The second is an absolute tearjerker, telling the story of Ayman, who fled war-torn Syria but returns in order to save his dog Zeus and bring him to safety in Lebanon.

Another documents the entire dog adoption process via the Hearts and Bones charity, from being rescued from ‘kill shelters’ to starting their new lives in New York.

Creator Glen Zipper told Variety, “In the world we live in today, no matter how divided we are, we should take care to realise how much dogs mean to all of us, and how our bond with them can help bring us together.”

You can watch the trailer below – but be warned, it’s almost impossible not to tear up at this one.
