It was the movie that sprang a whole cast of young actors into the spotlight and no matter how many times you watch it, it never gets old.
From the opening dance number (below) to the climactic scenes at a high school graduation house party, Superbad is a riot from start to finish. The antics of Seth (Jonah Hill) , Evan (Michael Cera) and Fogell AKA McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) have gone down in comedy history and the movie served as a launchpad for the career of future Oscar winner Emma Stone. In fact, Stone and Hill must have gotten so well that they are now starring in a Netflix series of their own.
Throw bumbling cops Seth Rogen and Bill Hader into the mix and what you have is an ensemble capable of providing laughs in pretty much every scene.
Many of you will remember catching Superbad in the cinema upon its release in 2007 and now you can relive all the chaos from the comfort of your sofa. That’s right, Netflix has added the movie to its already stellar collection of classic comedies and if there’s anything that can cure the midweek blues, it’s Superbad.
Roll on, hometime.
