Kiara Keane

Netflix has just added an absolute must-watch show that you’ll definitely want to add to your binge list.

The 34th tells the incredible story of the same-sex marriage referendum and the decade leading up to the historical vote on May 22 2015.

The documentary tells the story of Katherine Zappone and Ann Louise Gilligan’s remarkable 2006 KAL case which was one of the original turning points in the marriage equality debate.

It also shows just how much hard work campaigners put into the fight for the 34th amendment to the constitution.

The synopsis reads, ‘Through revealing interviews and archive material, campaigners share the strategising, fierce battles, sheer hard graft and moving personal stories behind the compelling and all-consuming campaign.’
