Roy Keane Will Make His First TV Appearance Since Leaving His Ireland Role This Weekend

James Fenton

As if football fans didn’t have enough reason to tune into Liverpool v Manchester United this weekend, Sky Sports have just added a pretty big name to its punditry team for the occasion.

Former United captain Roy Keane is definitely a character befitting of one of the most volatile rivalries in world football and news that the Corkman will be appearing on Super Sunday should whet the appetites of TV audiences.

Keane will be joining regular pundits Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness on the show in what will be his first TV appearance since leaving his role as assistant manager of the Republic Of Ireland last month.

It will be interesting to hear Keane’s views on the state of the current United team, Liverpool’s Premier League prospects and not least the events which led to himself and Martin O’Neill parting company with the FAI after five years.

The panel will also be taking in Southampton v Arsenal before the big north-west showdown and it all gets underway at 12.30pm this Sunday on Sky Sports Premier League. Sounds like one not to be missed.
