Staying In? There’s Three Great Movies On Irish Telly Tonight

Sarah

Bored? Yeah, us too. We’ve scrolled on every newsfeed of every social media platform, we’ve played in the snow until our hands are red raw and now we’re like tuckered out little kids who don’t know what they want.

With the weather still pretty fierce outside there’s no way we’re braving it to head out tonight (well, maaaaybe for a cheeky pint or two in the evening) so our plan is to snuggle in on the sofa for one last snow day glory.

Luckily, there’s actually some pretty decent flicks on Irish telly tonight. Here’s what you can tune in to Beat The Beast…

Kiss The Girls – TV3, 9pm

A forensic psychologist hunts for a serial kidnapper stalking a university campus and responsible for his niece’s disappearance. Working out of his jurisdiction, he defies local law enforcement officials to get to the truth – with the aid of one of the criminal’s past victims, a headstrong doctor determined to see her former captor brought to justice.

Les Mis̩rables РRTE2, 9.25pm

A former prisoner tries to lead an honest life in post-revolutionary France, despite being pursued everywhere by a fanatical police inspector. He promises a poverty-stricken factory worker that he will raise her child, a relationship that gives his life new meaning, but both of them are drawn into an uprising against the reinstated monarchy.

The Squid And The Whale – RTE One, 11.55pm

A self-important academic is consumed with jealousy when his wife demonstrates a talent for writing, causing a rift that leads to divorce and turmoil in the lives of their two teenage sons. As the boys struggle to adapt to the change in their circumstances, they find themselves choosing sides and seeing their parents in a new light.

That’s our evening sorted…
