WATCH: The True Crime Docuseries That Everyone’s Already Obsessed With Finally Has A Trailer

Kiara Keane

Netflix announced plans for its next true crime project last month and now it’s finally got a chilling new trailer.

The Innocent Man is a six-part documentary series based on John Grisham’s bestselling true crime novel of the same name.

The story gained widespread attention with the release of Grisham’s book, and focuses on two murders that took place in Ada, Oklahoma, in the 1980s — and the controversial chain of events that followed.

Grisham even says in the trailer, “If I wrote The Innocent Man as a novel, people would not believe it.”

The Netflix documentary drops on December 14 and will feature interviews with lawyers, journalists, local residents as well as the victims’ friends.

The synopsis reads, ‘Two murders, four convictions, and a town full of secrets.

‘Based on John Grisham’s only true crime best-seller, The Innocent Man, an old case that shook the small town of Ada, Oklahoma in the 1980s is re-opened with unbelievable evidence that has everyone questioning if the right men were charged, or if the killer is still out there.’
