WATCH: The First Teaser For The Young Offenders Christmas Special Is Here

We’ve finally got our first look at a clip from The Young Offenders Christmas Special and it looks like it’s gonna be a great one.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that BBC Three will be showing it first this Friday evening (December 14), followed by BBC One on December 23.

RTÉ One will be airing the episode on Christmas day to really get you into the festive spirit.

BBC Three has now revealed the first teaser from the special episode, showing Conor and Jock dressed up in one single Santa suit.

Conor tells Jock in the clip, “This will never work! We should have just got fake IDs!”

We’ll have to wait until the episode airs to find out what’s actually going on, but it sounds like it could be something to do with the lads trying to make Mairead’s Christmas wish come true.

The synopsis for the special reads, ‘It’s Christmas week, and the residents of the estate where Conor, Jock and Mairead live have been fighting off an eviction from the council for over a month.

‘The residents have created a barricade to show their determination that they won’t be moved to make way for the estate to be renovated.

‘While all this is happening, Mairead has been sick for weeks and has to be taken to the hospital. The situation proves to be more serious than thought and not knowing how to help, the lads ask Mairead if there’s anything they can get her.

‘The two friends set off on a chaotic adventure to try to make her wish come true and in the process find out something about themselves and the value of empathy.’
