Grab some snacks and a blanket and cosy up on your sofa for the night, we’ve brought you the top ten stand up comedy shows you can watch on Netflix tonight to get you through another cold, wet weeknight.

1) Aziz Anzari – Buried Alive

Also known for his excellent series Master of None, Anzari is one of the hottest properties in comedy right now, taking a lot of material from his family’s life moving to the U-S-of-A from India.

2) John Mulaney – The Comeback Kid

Mulaney had a disaster when the show carrying his name was cancelled for being terrible, but has found his niche with stand-up. Most Irish folk can resonate with this gag about going to Mass once a year.

3) Louis CK – Chewed Up

Louis CK is pretty much your uncle who loves complaining about everything but is absolutely hilarious.

4) Tommy Tiernan – Crooked Man

We couldn’t do a list of our favourite comedians without this man. Pure gold.

5) Jimmy Carr – Funny Business

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but Carr is one of the quickest about and it’s difficult not to piss yourself laughing at his creepy laugh alone.

6) Demetri Martin – Live (At The Time)

Maybe even drier than Carr, so again this guy is not to everyone’s tastes, but we reckon his jokes are pure class.

7) Ed Byrne – Different Class

Our Ed has forged a pretty decent comedy career for himself, despite looking a little like an even geekier version of Harry Potter. This special sees him taking on everything from his personal life to knock-off DVDs.

8) Ali Wong – Baby Cobra

Wong was seven months pregnant when she recorded this show, but surprisingly doesn’t mention it too much, because she’s got plenty of other stuff to talk about.

9) Eddie Murphy – Delirious

Old but gold. The star of films like The Nutty Professor and Doctor Dolittle has a fine repertoire of stand-up to his name, including this from as far back as 1983.

10) Frankie Boyle – Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved

The Scotsman is known as much for being as controversial as funny but he gets it right, he’s hilarious. His humour has gone increasingly political as he tries less hard to please TV panel shows, and this offering shows he has still got it.
