Jedward to shave their famous quiffs off live on this week’s Late Late Show

Jedward

Jedward are amongst the guests on this week’s Late Late Show. No strangers to the spotlight, they’ve been on the show several times already, however things will be a little different this time as they’ll be joining Ryan for a very special reason.

Dedicated to the Irish Cancer Society’s annual fundraiser, Daffodil Day, the twins explained that they will be shaving off their signature hairstyles to raise money for the very worthy cause – naming their mother Susanna, who sadly passed away from cancer in February 2019, as the inspiration behind the move.

“Hey guys, we’re Jedward and we are on the Late Late Show this week shaving off our quiffs to raise much-needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

“We hope all the funds raised will contribute to a cancer-free future. This is such a good cause and we are sending so much strength and love to all those suffering with cancer.”

Previously speaking to Ryan about the impact losing their mother has had on them, Edward said that they were “thankful” to have been with her and hold her hand in her final hours.

“The thing about it is that we were there when she passed and we’re really thankful that we were there and we were able to hold her hand and gave her some earphones to listen to some music.

“My heart goes out to everyone who’s not able to be with their loved ones.”

As usual, you can tune into the Late Late Show on RTÉ One, Friday night at 9:35pm.
