Winter Love Island

We don’t know who will be presenting it yet but what we do have is the start date for Winter Love Island.

ITV 2 have confirmed Winter Love Island will arrive on our screens on Sunday, January 12 which means that it will be the perfect way to cure the post-Christmas blues.

The upcoming series of Love Island will take place in Cape Town, South Africa and details of the cast members are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.

Long-time presenter Caroline Flack has announced that she will play no part in the series, having stood down following her arrest and assault charge last week.

Speculation has been rife regarding her replacement and while Maura Higgins was initially rumoured to take over, bookmakers now consider Laura Whitmore the favourite to present the next series.

“Maura Higgins was the lead contender before Caroline Flack’s announcement, but that money has dried up in the last couple of hours with Curtis Pritchard insisting that it’s not going to happen,” BoyleSports spokesperson Lawrence Lyons told Lovin.ie.

“As a result we have to make Laura Whitmore the new frontrunner and with links to the show already, she looks well positioned to land the gig.”
