Two Irish legends are rumoured to be entering the I’m a celeb jungle this year

Fiona Frawley

We’ll give you two guesses.

Ever since she fluttered her way onto our screens in 2019, Maura Higgins has time and time again solidified her place as the undisputed queen of reality television. We just can’t get enough of her. Every time there’s a whisper of a lineup for a reality show, be it Big Brother, Strictly or I’m a Celeb, it’s inevitably followed with “they should get Maura Higgins on”. There’s no situation that couldn’t be improved with a bitta Maura, let’s be honest.

Clearly, the I’m A Celeb producers feel the same, as rumours are circulating that Queen Maura could be entering the jungle, sorry – castle, as the show takes place in Wales rather than its usual Australian location for the second year running.

According to What To Watch, Maura is among the celebs tipped to enter the Gwrych Castle this year. Speaking ahead of the cast reveal, Ladbrokes spokeswoman Jessica O’Reilly told The Sun: “With her ex-Giovanni making all the headlines on Strictly, a stint on I’m A Celebritywould be the perfect opportunity for Maura to create her own.”

And Maura’s not the only Irish legend rumoured to be entering the castle.

Also tipped as a hot favourite is football legend and most importantly, everyone’s favourite Insta dad, Roy Keane. Football pundit Ian Wright told The Sun:

If I was ITV, I’d offer Roy whatever he wants. It would be record numbers of people watching. Give him five million quid! I watch Roy whatever he’s on. He’s that guy. He is the ultimate guest.

We’d have to wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment.

I’m a Celeb returns to ITV this month. We’ll await the lineup reveal with bated breath.
