Most people who have seen Derry Girls won’t need convincing on how brilliant the show is but if you do, this might just seal the deal.
You may remember that at the end of series one, Clare came out as a lesbian, a revelation which was initially met with some derision from her pal Erin. However, they eventually made up during the now famous final scene at the school talent show.
With their little spat behind them, fans have now noticed that throughout series two, Erin and the rest of the gang have been displaying rainbow badges on their outfits in an apparent show of support for Clare.
The move has been spotted by more and more people as the series has gone on and it seems to have gone down an absolute treat.
the only thing that matters to me is the derry girls all wearing their little rainbow pins on every outfit since clare came out pic.twitter.com/JtVFLn0VYR

#DerryGirls is so brilliant. And the fact that main characters are wearing rainbow pins for Clare makes me love the show even more.

Two things about catching up on Derry Girls tonight that have brought me joy. The fact that all the characters are wearing rainbow badges and that they’ve just played @kylieminogue Better The Devil You Know. #DerryGirls

Just lovely. After last week’s superb Take That episode, you can catch up with the gang’s latest antics in the new episode which airs on Channel 4 tonight at 9.15pm.
