Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently in his native Austria hanging out with athletes competing in the Special Olympics, which he's been a long time supporter of ever since it was founded by his ex mother-in-law in 1968.
He joined the winning Irish ski team earlier this week to celebrate their deadly wins of two gold, one silver and one bronze medal on the podium, and posted a video to Facebook with the caption "these guys inspire me."
The vid received all sorts of lovely comments congratulating our athletes and applauding the Special Olympics, but one horrible troll tried to bring the tone down by commenting that "The Special Olympics make no sense. The Olympics are for the best athletes in the world to compete against each other."
He then used a derogatory term in his post, and of course, the Terminator struck back.
"As stupid and evil as this comment is, I’m not going to delete it or ban you (yet) because it’s a teachable moment. You have two possible paths ahead. Right now, I guarantee you that these athletes have more courage, compassion, brains, skill — actually more of every positive human quality than you.
So take their path — you could learn from them, and try to challenge yourself, to give back, to add something from the world. Or you can stay on your path, and keep being a sad, pitiful, jealous internet troll who adds nothing to the world but mocks anyone who does out of small-minded jealousy."
He then went on to add the final deserving blow: "I know what you really want is attention, so let me be clear: If you choose to keep going this way, no one will ever remember you."
The exchange has been deleted but someone took a screenshot of the post and put it onto Reddit, where it's been tweeted all over the world (and even by Arnie himself!)
Note to trolls: Don't mess with Arnold.
