WATCH: Derry Churchgoers All Shook Up As Elvis Impersonator Takes To The Altar

James Fenton

Worshippers in Derry got something of a shock yesterday when they were serenaded by an Elvis impersonator at their traditional Sunday service.

The unorthodox performance was organised by Reverend Paul Hoey to look at the ‘spirtual’ aspect of Elvis’ music’.

Impersonator Andy Rogers entertained the congregation at St Canice’s Church in Eglinto with hits including ‘Love Me Tender’ and ‘Don’t Be Cruel’.

We weren’t aware Elvis was so intent on spreading the good word of Jesus but there you go.
