It’s fair to say that Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane has a rather hostile relationship with most journalists.
Quite often cranky on a bad day and displaying a scything sense of humour on a good, the Corkman came across a pair of reporters yesterday who did something that not many have done before.
They had him smiling from ear to ear.
Two young girls, present as part of the FAI’s ‘Soccer Sisters’ camps, had Roy chuckling away with some probing questions as they quizzed him about important things in life – such as who his best friend is.
He even threw in some football AND dating advice for the inquisitive pair.
The girls also got an exclusive about Martin O’Neill only being ONE of Roy’s best friends.
