WATCH: These Gas Cavan Sausage Challenges Are Getting Even Better

Yesterday we brought you the cinematic masterpiece that was a Cavan man beating the world record for making the most amount of sausages in one minute (Spoiler: He made a meaty 78), and it was impressive.

Today however, the kinda weird sausage theme that’s been running on RTÉ’s Big Week On The Farm continued on last night’s episode.

Except it was even better than the previous one.

Another Cavan man (those Cavan fellas sure are mad for the salsiccia) attempted to beat the world record for eating the most sauasages in 60 seconds.

Taz Smith had to try eat more than eight cold and cooked sausages to beat the 2001 record.

Here’s how this absolute hero got on:

Taz is known locally for his iron stomach abilities, having called out US professional eater to do a food challenge and eat an 8lb, 10 oz “World’s Largest Breakfast” in one hour in 2013.

Taz smashed it, chowing down: 

• 10 sausages
• 10 rashers
• 10 large fried eggs
• 5 pieces of white pudding
• 5 hash browns
• a tin of beans
• a small punnet of mushrooms
• 3 fried tomatoes
• a serving of chips

and

• ten slices of toast

In oh, a mere 35 minutes. INSANE. We wish we could gorge like this.
