So you wouldn’t begrudge sports stars from outside of Ireland from throwing a pair on and trying to get a brush of that good luck.
That’s exactly what Dominick Cruz did in a recent sparring session.
He posted the photo on Twitter and nobody took much notice of it, apart from throngs of people from Ireland going nuts over the shorts.
How did he get the shorts? Is he being coached on the sly by Eamon Fitzmaurice or is he best mates with Colm Cooper? Or maybe himself and Pat Spillane have the odd secret pint together that we don’t know about.
