Well, we thought it'd never happen but now we have to face reality. England (ENGLAND) have qualified for the World Cup semi-final.
Goals from Harry Maguire (must have a bit of Irish in him, surely?) and Dele Alli secured a 2-0 victory over Sweden this afternoon and next up for the Three Lions is a date with Russia or Croatia in Moscow on Wednesday.
While there will no doubt be wild parties all weekend across the water, over here it's fair to say the reaction to the result has been, well, mixed.
Here's how Irish people are coping with the news...
There is no way I’m getting married the year England win the World Cup...

Can't believe England are in a World Cup semi final ffs

England having 4 fullbacks on the pitch and cruising to a World Cup Semi Final hurts me in more ways than I can explain.

This is it now isn’t it. England are gonna win the World Cup.

England deserve to be where they are. Their fans deserve to be excited as fuck.

When England play any decent side, they will be ripped apart. Croatia will be that side. They are so poor it’s incredible they are where they are.

Don't want England to win but there's no way Sweden should be in a World Cup semi.

Two woefully poor sides to be honest with England being that little bit better than Sweden. Belgium or France to lift the trophy.

England getting to, and being beaten in the Semi Finals works for everyone. It's their best finish at the WC for ages and they'll be heroes to the media and also they will not win the thing

Are we genuinely looking at England in a World Cup final?
