Niall Horan’s Response To Twitter Trolls Is Prob The Most Irish Thing He’s Ever Said

Sarah

Irish celebs have a reputation for being pretty loose when compared to their American counterparts, and it’s something that (most of the time) stands to us.

While the rough fightin’ and drinkin’ Irish stereotype is thankfully pretty much finito, every now and again a well known Irish person does something so beautifully against the Hollywood grain that we’re reminded of why that stereotype came around in the first place.

Niall Horan, Mullingar’s claim to fame, recently spoke his mind on the subject of Twitter trolls to Esquire magazine and his candid statement is so classically Irish and pure no fucks given that we just have to applaud him.

“They can go fuck themselves”

“Back in the day it used to be that you’d read stuff and be like, ‘Aw, is that what they think of me?’ But the way the world turns is you can do no right, so I’ve just gone past the point of caring. Apparently all these people who are writing to you are perfect, so they have every right to say that to you. So they can go fuck themselves.”

His laid-back attitude to people trying to slag him off is amazing – it can’t be easy being so young and having such a high public profile, but it seems like he’s coping fairly well.

What a legend.
