Virgin Media has announced that this weekend will be dedicated to Liverpool FC with some of their most famous moments being screened over three days.

The Irish broadcaster has confirmed that in the absence of football, it will be providing the ultimate treat for Liverpool fans in the form of a collection of some of their most famous European moments.

As Reds supporters wait impatiently to find out the final fate of their relentless Premier League march this season, they can pass the time on Friday by reliving every goal from their successful 2018/2019 Champions League campaign. This will be followed by their (spoiler alert) 4-1 quarter-final win in Porto as well as the iconic semi-final comeback against Barcelona.

On Saturday, Virgin will set the clocks back a little further to the first of Liverpool's six European Cup triumphs. The 1977 final win over Borussia Monchengladbach will be played in full and will be followed arguably their most famous final win of all - the 2005 victory over AC Milan, otherwise known as the Miracle of Istanbul. Saturday will then wrap up with 2018's quarter-final win over Premier League rivals Manchester City.

If all that isn't enough, Sunday will bring things back to the future with a repeat of Jurgen Klopp's side's final win over Tottenham in Madrid last June.

It all kicks off this Friday at 8pm on Virgin Media Sport and it should definitely help a lot of fans get that much-needed football fix, Liverpool supporters or otherwise. Okay, maybe not Manchester United devotees but they can always stick to Netflix.
