Virgin Media have explained their decision to replace last night’s edition of Inside The K with an episode of Gogglebox Ireland.
Viewers were not happy after last night’s edition of The Guards: Inside the K was pulled from Virgin Media’s schedule and replaced with an episode of Gogglebox.
The channel revealed the short notice change to the schedule yesterday. A spokesperson said that “in a change to tonight’s schedule, Gogglebox Ireland: Looks Back (80s & 90s) will air tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One, with new series The Guards: Inside The K continuing next Wednesday at 9pm on Virgin Media One.”
Today, Virgin Media have explained the reasons behind the decision. Taking to Twitter, they wrote:
“In the current climate and due to the nature of last night’s scheduled episode of The Guards: Inside The K, which dealt with themes of mental health and suicide, the episode was postponed. The series will continue Wednesday at 9pm on Virgin Media One.”
