Virgin Media is looking for ‘curious and opinionated’ people to take part in a new ‘social experiment’

Virgin Media is currently casting for a new show. Titled Eating with the Enemy, show bosses are looking for curious and opinionated people to partake in what they’re calling a ‘social experiment’.

Strangers – each with very different opinions – will be paired up to have a meal together, with the aim of the show being to get people talking about topics that they feel strongly about. Going against the ‘never discuss politics, religion or money at the dinner table’ mentality, the show actively encourages debate and for people to voice their true feelings.

A short description for the series reads:

‘Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend time with someone who is completely different to you?

Eating With The Enemy is a brand new TV series where strangers with opposing views come face to face and have a real-life conversation over dinner. Maybe we all have more in common than we think?’

Interested participants must be over 18 years of age and live in Ireland but other than that the criteria for the social experiment is quite loose and producers are open to people of all backgrounds and interests – the more out there the better I’d say… they’re trying to spark interesting conversations after all.
