The cast of Fair City has responded to that Gal Gadot video.

Celebs, they're just like us. How so? They're liable to boredom too. Most of us are into the second week of working from home and by now the cabin fever has most definitely set in. Looks like the same can be said of our favourite famous faces too who have been taking to social media to share clips of them singing.

It all started last week when a video of Gal Gadot and some celebrity pals emerged. Sharing the clip to her Instagram, the video showed Wonder Woman and a string of other well-known Hollywood bigwigs covering John Lennon's Imagine.

Captioning it: "We are in this together, we will get through it together. Let's imagine together.", Gal invited people to sing with her and her "dear friends".

A lovely sentiment, though it was met with mixed reviews... Chris O'Dowd seems to regret his decision to partake but that's neither here nor there.

Parodies of the performance have been circulating online ever since, the latest coming from Carrigstown's finest who decided to forgo the John Lennon classic and give their rendition of Maniac 2000 instead.

"In the great quarantine of 2020, Gal Gadot released a video with her Hollywood pals to unite the world.

It didn't work, so the Fair City cast thought "ah sure look, we'll give it a go". This is the result."

Are you ready?

Yeah, yeah, funky, yeah.

Using the opportunity to raise funds for a worthy cause, the Fair City cast is asking people to donate what they can to support the Civic Theatre in Tallaght.

All we can say is Reeling In The Years 2020 is going to be one hell of an episode.
