WATCH: First behind-the-scenes look at the Vikings spin-off being filmed in Wicklow

A first look at the Vikings spin-off being filmed at Ashford Studios in Co. Wicklow has been released.

Vikings:Valhalla is set in the early 11th century and will chronicle the lives of famous vikings such as Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter, Harald Hardrada and the Norman King William the Conqueror. It takes up proceedings about 100 years after the end of Vikings as age draws to a close.

Filming began at Ashford Studios in October 2020 and directors include Niels Arden Oplev and Steve Saint Leger, who directed several episodes of Vikings.
